This uses a test record, not a client receipt. It proves the signing and checking you rely on are running live.
How this check works
- When a receipt is verified, North Star writes the exact facts into one record and signs it with a private Ed25519 key that never leaves the server.
- This page downloads that record and recomputes its SHA-256 fingerprint and signature here, in your own browser. You do not have to trust North Star for the result.
- Change one character of the record and the seal breaks. Each seal also stores the fingerprint of the seal before it, so a removed or rewritten seal breaks the chain.
- Seals cannot be edited or deleted, and an owner can never verify their own decision. The database enforces both rules.
- The page shows only what the client agreed to publish. Evidence files are never shown, only their fingerprints.
